Life drawing week 6

This week didn't have a life model, So we went outside and did people watching and drew people we saw. So I took a picture of a men just standing by the library and took my time with a biro pen and felt that this is one of my best illustrations I've done.

life drawing week 5

This was over a period of 2 hours, where we had no thing we had to do or think about it was just getting in there and drawing and taking what we've learnt before and just applying the skills in to this drawing.

Life Drawing week 4

I really enjoyed this session of life drawing because I felt pretty confined of each task and really though I was a massive improvements in my drawings.
we started off with our model climbing over chairs to give to only give us 3 minutes to getting something down on your paper, which at first I was panicking and not really looking at the model and more my page. In which the teacher saw me doing this so he told me to just stop and forces more on the model and don't worry if I over lap or don't draw all the body and make sure what I was drawing was right and looking like, what I can see.
He then got the model to sit on a wheelie chair and for us to get really close and then got the model to spin to 4 different positions for about 10 minutes and though out the 10 minutes the model could change  places as much as he wanted, when ever he wanted. Which taunt us to get much detail as we could as quick as we could.
To keep up with the quick drawing theme, the model then was told to slow walk across the room to try and get a sense of movement and understand more how people move and walk, this would help us in the future when we are animating.
We had one more task after this which was to do 30 second drawings of the model standing up from a chair. I found this one the most challenging but the one where I got the best sketches .

week 3 of life drawing

 Week 3 of Life Drawing

I didn't attended this weeks life drawing class due to being a one of talk with fables concept designer, Emrah Elmasli. Which ran over my life drawing class. So I did a few drawings of my friends eye and sketches of when I was out and about.

Week 2 of life drawing

Week 2

We had a lot more time and only worked one drawing for the whole two hours, In which we were learning to use our pencils to help with counting how many heads in the body of our model and to help us see what lines up with what and help with portions.
I felt that I had a very and abnormal angle to work at,  this is  why I had drew as much as I wanted but I also was making sure I had every inch of the drawing right.
My drawing is one of my best drawings I feel I have personally done and due to I have never really done life drawing before and only worked from comics and cartoons.

Life Drawing Week 1

This was my first ever go at life drawing, which was a very strange but good 2 hours of my life. My first attempt was good but restricting to me because I had never had a small time limit before and only having 3 minutes to draw each position, It kind of threw me off a bit but soon after I kind of got the hang trying to look more at the subject and not my paper. which doesn't sound like much but I found not looking at the page and looking more at the artist was really hard to do!! I wouldn't count these sketches some of my best work but the one on the bottom left isn't bad for a three minute sketch. Our teacher was trying to get us to see more of the subject and forget about what was on the page and see more of the subject, more than what we would of seen before.
Soon after our teacher then got us to try and keep our pencil on the page and don't take it off until the three minutes was up and I don't know about you but this was so hard!!! I just felt my drawing skills just when, I couldn't draw, It just wasn't normal. My first one ( on the top) was just terrible and I just couldn't do it, I couldn't understand. Then I tried again and to be honest I really like the hand I did with this technique, Because Its a style I just wouldn't do before and though I would but when I figured out just to slow down and take my time with the three minutes. Then I think it worked really well!!!.

This was a very big fail of today, because this was way out of my confront zone and what we had to do was take one step in front of our canvas so we could see what we were doing and try to not to take our pencil off the paper and just try to do what felt right, and from what you can see, it went really well.......
